Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Latin America Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, several navigation and maps applications demonstrated significant performance trends across Latin America. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on weekly downloads and active user metrics.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed a strong upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 414K and peaking at 611K by the end of December. Active users also increased, reaching over 44M mid-December, before slightly dropping to 42M at the year’s close.

Google Maps Go maintained a stable download rate, with a peak of 445K in mid-December. Active users saw a steady rise, concluding the quarter with approximately 224M.

Google Earth experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at 135K and ending at 111K. Active users fluctuated as well, with a notable increase to over 2.4M by the end of the quarter.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos saw a notable spike in downloads mid-October, reaching 163K, before stabilizing towards the end of the quarter. Active users rose to 124K in late December.

Finally, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer showed varied download trends, peaking at 104K in early October. Active users maintained a steady range, closing the quarter at around 95K.
